Our Story

Wayne is no novice to the kitchen. He began cooking in 1968, attended cooking school in 1971-72,and has been living the dream ever since. What initially began as an attempt at a BBQ food trailer evolved into a line of one-of-a-kind specialty canned products. Wayne started his business in September 2010 after he acquired certification from the state of WI and the USDA. Since then he has been able to make local goods with the help of certified kitchens. He currently operates out of the Green Tomato LLC in Appleton, WI. As Hippie Wayne’s continues to grow, he hopes to move into larger retail venues soon. He will be applying bar codes and nutrition information this year to get ready for his expanding business. Hippie Wayne puts an interesting spin on classic recipes and always delivers his products with a smile!

Producing Practices

Obtains as much local products as he can until the supply runs out.
About 50% of products are sourced locally from Olden Produce in Ripon, WI. Others sourced by Dierks Waukesha.
All products are made in small batches with only natural preservatives.
