Sayler Farmacy

Website: saylerfarmacy.wix.com/saylerfarmacy

Sayler Farmacy began after Austin Sayler and Ashley Kraus met at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 2012. They were both studying Environmental Science. After realizing they had very similar goals and ambitions surrounding farming they created Sayler Farmacy and, led by Austin, began selling at the downtown Oshkosh Saturday Farmer’s Market.

Our farm is located just outside of the City of Omro, Wisconsin. Our farm practices organic methods but we have no certifications. Sayler Farmacy specializes in mushrooms (mainly oyster, and log grown shiitake), maple syrup, honey products and wild-foraged foods. We also grow a wide variety of chemical-free produce. Our interest in farming has been growing since we were young. Both of us have cabins “up north” and frequented the outdoors as children. As young adults in college our interests became more specialized. Austin now leads the mushroom and syrup operations while Ashley is the beekeeper. After college we realized that we could make a living while helping others connect with the local food movement and so, here we are!

Who and What Do You Support When Buying From Us?

You support two young adults trying to make farming their livelihood. When you support us you, in turn, support many Wisconsin/local businesses. We think this is very important! We support Field & Forest Products in Peshtigo, WI (mushroom spawn supplier) and Honey Bee Ware in Greenville, WI (bee keeping supplies). We think the more local the supplier, the better.
